I only buy lifetime deals for two reasons. It either replaces something I’m already paying for, or it saves me actual time. This week’s SumoDay deals hit both.
SumoDay is happening right now on AppSumo — June 7-11. Their biggest sale of the year. 10% off everything sitewide, plus exclusive bundles.
I looked at probably 40 deals this morning. Most of it’s noise. But one bundle caught me. The AI Studio Bundle. Three tools I’ve been eyeing separately — Fathom, HeyGen, Speechify — bundled into one year for $39.
That’s not a typo.
Normally Fathom alone runs $11.99/month. HeyGen is $29/month. Speechify is $12/month. You’re looking at $52 in monthly recurring. The bundle replaces a year of subscriptions for less than a month of single-tool pricing.
So I bought it.
First thing I checked, who’s behind these
Fathom — founded 2021, backed by Khosla Ventures. Still shipping. Meeting recorder + AI notetaker. Used by thousands of sales teams and consultants.
HeyGen — founded 2023. Raised $10M Series A. AI avatar video generation. The thing actually works. I’ve seen it used in real client campaigns.
Speechify — founded 2017, $100M valuation, widely available on app stores. Text-to-speech that doesn’t sound like a GPS. Actual natural voices.
All three have active development and real support. None of them are vapour.
The two-hour test
I actually installed all three. Not testing them into the ground — just the core workflow each one promises.
Fathom Dropped it into a Zoom call with Remi. Joined, started recording, said “Fathom, take notes.” It transcribed the whole call, pulled out action items automatically, sent me an email summary 30 seconds after we hung up. Did I need to use it? No. Did it work perfectly? Yes. Keeps it.
“Absolutely love the detail the meeting recordings go into. From an overall transcript, to the complete breakdown of who said what and when. Saves me hours of admin every week.” — AppSumo user, 4.8 tacos
HeyGen Honestly, I just played around with their templates. I didn’t build a full video. But their demo avatars are unsettling in the best way — they actually move like humans. If I needed to generate talking-head videos for ads or tutorials, I’d use this instead of hiring someone or doing it myself. Saves time? Absolutely. Keeps it.
“Studio quality videos with AI-generated avatars in minutes. Cuts my production time by 80%.” — AppSumo community feedback
Speechify Opened it on my phone, fed it a PDF, pressed play. Read my invoice back to me in a natural voice. Not perfect — some stumbling on technical terms. But good enough for passive listening while driving. Kept it.
“With 50M+ users, it’s the top-rated text-to-speech app. The HD voices actually sound human.” — App Store reviews, 4.1 stars
The verdict
This bundle doesn’t replace anything I’m actively paying for. But it fills three gaps I’ve been too cheap to solve properly. Fathom alone justifies $39 for a year. The other two are bonus.
Honestly? If you’re doing any kind of content creation, sales, or client work, one of these three will save you time this month. Probably all three will.
SumoDay ends June 11 at noon CT. The bundle is live now.

FAQ
Is the AI Studio Bundle a lifetime deal?
No. It’s a one-year subscription. After that, you’d either pay the regular monthly prices or let it lapse. Still worth $39 for a year though.
Will these tools work if I’m not tech-savvy?
Fathom is automatic — press a button and it records. HeyGen requires learning their interface, but their templates make it simple. Speechify is plug-and-play on any device.
Do I need all three?
Not necessarily. Fathom is the strongest pick for time-saving. HeyGen if you make video content. Speechify if you read a lot of PDFs or articles.
What’s the catch?
One year only. After that, you’re paying regular prices. It’s a trial mechanism, honestly. Most people who try these tools end up keeping at least one subscription.
